Introduction

Pfam

eIF-3 is a multi-subunit complex that stimulates translation initiation in vitro at several different steps. This family corresponds to the gamma subunit if eIF3 [1,2]. The Yeast protein Gcd10p has also been shown to be part of a complex with the methyltransferase Gcd14p that is involved in modifying tRNA [3].
