Introduction

Pfam

This is a family of proteins that are transmembrane dsRNA-gated channels. They passively transport dsRNA into cells and do not act as ATP-dependent pumps [1]. They are required for systemic RNA interference [2,3]. This family of proteins belong to the CREST superfamily [4] which are distantly related to GPCRs.
